South Asian men who have sex with men (SA MSM) are one of the most overlooked groups when it comes to HIV prevention, which is reflected in NAZ seeing a year-on-year increase in SA MSM looking for HIV support.
A complex web of cultural, religious and societal issues within SA MSM communities hamper their access to — and willingness to engage with — appropriate mental and sexual health support. As a result, alongside their increased risk of contracting HIV, South Asian MSM also report lower levels of self esteem and mental wellbeing.
South Asian MSM - Please get in touch with Aaron at NAZ for monthly events in a group for South Asian Gay, Bisexual and MSM in London, focusing on sexual health and wellbeing - trans & non-binary people welcome.
Sholay Love also are looking for people to help them spread the message, challenge taboos and help increase the sexual health and wellbeing of the community as a whole in a 12 month project. Find out more from their website below.
