Odbhut: UK's First Queer Bangla Event

Come and be #Odbhut (অ"#ত/Bangla for queer) for a launch night of Bangla

inspired entertainment and dancing till late. However you identify (British/ Bengali/

Bangladeshi/Sylheti/Friends/anything else!) : EVERYBODY is welcome regardless of

race, sexuality and gender identity!

There will be amazing music, led by the awesome RENU; an artist, composer, producer,

tabla-player, multi-percussionist, on the back of her UK album tour, followed by DJs Ritu

(Club Kali) & Isuru playing Bengali, Electro, Fresh Beats, Drum n Bass, Hip Hop, Garage

and much more throughout the night.

The evening will be a tribute to those inspiring artists and queers that came before us, who

have dedicated their lives to campaigning, experimenting and making art, and leading the

fight for LGBTQ rights. There will also be screening of a short film ‘Planchette on 25 April’ by

Dipa Mahbuba Yasmin, a series of short readings from Bangladesh and more.

Doors Open: 8pm - 2am (start from 8.45pm)

Dress Code: Fancy/Scandalous
